The Bambu Lab H2C is a high-performance, enclosed FDM 3D printer engineered for multi-material production, high reliability, and demanding engineering-grade applications. With a reinforced aluminum–steel chassis, rigid outer frame, and actively heated chamber, the H2C delivers stable thermal conditions for printing advanced polymers and fiber-reinforced composites.
Build Volume and Mechanical Structure
The printer supports both single-nozzle and dual-nozzle configurations.
· Single-nozzle volume: 305 × 320 × 325 mm
· Dual-nozzle volume: 300 × 320 × 325 mm
· Total usable volume (two-nozzle system): 330 × 320 × 325 mm
The enclosure is constructed from a combination of aluminum, steel, plastic, and glass, providing rigidity and thermal stability. The overall printer dimensions are 492 × 514 × 626 mm, with a net weight of 32.5 kg, reflecting the heavy-duty toolhead, chamber heating system, and multi-fan closed-loop cooling architecture.
Toolhead and Extrusion System
The H2C features a hardened-steel toolhead and extrusion system optimized for abrasive and high-temperature materials.
· Nozzle temperature: up to 350 °C
· Supported nozzle diameters: 0.2 / 0.4 / 0.6 / 0.8 mm
· Built-in filament cutter for AMS workflows
· Filament diameter: 1.75 mm
· Extruder drive: Bambu Lab high-precision permanent-magnet synchronous motor
This combination ensures consistent extrusion, high flow stability, and long service life, even when printing carbon-fiber or glass-fiber reinforced materials.
Heatbed and Build Surface
The H2C uses a flexible steel build plate with a robust textured PEI coating.
· Included plate: Textured PEI Plate
· Supported plates: Textured PEI and Engineering Plate
· Maximum bed temperature: 120 °C
These surfaces support reliable adhesion across PLA, engineering polymers, and reinforced compounds.
Speed and Performance
With its high-efficiency motion system, the printer achieves:
· Maximum speed: 1000 mm/s
· Acceleration: 20,000 mm/s²
· Maximum hotend flow: 40 mm³/s
(Tested with a 250 mm round model, single-wall, Bambu ABS, at 280 °C)
This makes the H2C suitable for rapid production, prototyping, and iterative engineering work.
Actively Heated Chamber
The printer includes a fully controlled thermal environment:
· Active chamber heating: Supported
· Maximum chamber temperature: 65 °C
This significantly improves layer adhesion and dimensional accuracy when printing ABS, ASA, PC, PA, PPS and other thermally demanding materials.
Air Filtration System
The H2C integrates a professional-grade multi-stage purification system:
· Pre-filter: G3
· HEPA filter: H12
· Activated carbon: Granulated coconut shell
· VOC filtration: Superior
· Particulate matter filtration: Supported
This ensures safe operation and reduced emissions during high-temperature printing.
Cooling Architecture (Fully Closed-Loop Controlled)
All cooling systems run under closed-loop monitoring for precision airflow:
· Part cooling fan
· Hotend cooling fan
· Control board fan
· Chamber exhaust fan
· Chamber recirculation fan
· Auxiliary part cooling fan
· Toolhead enhanced cooling fan
This allows stable extrusion at high temperatures and consistent material flow.
