The H2D uses dual-nozzle FDM technology for high-performance 3D printing.
Build volume: Single- or dual-nozzle configuration.
The build volume is 325 × 320 × 325 mm³ when printing with a single nozzle and 300 × 320 × 325 mm³ when printing with dual nozzles. The total build space for two nozzles is 350 × 320 × 325 mm³.
Housing and construction: Rigid and upgradeable design.
The printer structure is made of aluminum, steel, plastic, and glass. Laser-safe windows and air cooling are included in the Laser Edition, while upgrade kits are available for the standard version.
Physical dimensions: Compact design for its performance.
The printer’s external dimensions are 492 × 514 × 626 mm³, and it weighs 31 kg.
Printhead and extruder: High precision.
The printhead is equipped with a metal hotend and hardened steel gears. The maximum nozzle temperature is 350 °C. The default nozzle size is 0.4 mm, and supported sizes include 0.2 mm, 0.4 mm, 0.6 mm, and 0.8 mm. The filament diameter is 1.75 mm.
Motor and drive: Synchronized for precision.
The extruder uses a high-precision Bambu Lab permanent magnet synchronous motor.
Build plate: Durable and adaptable.
It supports textured and smooth PEI plates, with a maximum heatbed temperature of 120 °C.
Print speed: Exceptionally fast.
The maximum printhead speed is 1000 mm/s, with acceleration up to 20,000 mm/s². The standard nozzle supports a flow rate of up to 40 mm³/s, while the optional high-flow nozzle supports up to 65 mm³/s, tested at 280 °C with Bambu Lab ABS.
Heated chamber: Actively controlled temperature.
The printer supports active chamber heating up to a maximum of 65 °C.
Air filtration: Triple protection.
It includes a G3 pre-filter, an H12 HEPA filter, and coconut shell activated carbon. The entire system is based on closed-loop control.
Cooling system: Comprehensive and controlled.
It includes fans for part cooling, auxiliary cooling, printhead cooling, chamber air circulation, the control board, and chamber exhaust — all operating in a closed-loop mode.
Supported materials: A wide range of filaments.
It supports materials such as PLA, PETG, TPU, PVA, BVOH, ABS, ASA, PC, PA, PET, as well as fiber-reinforced materials such as PLA-CF, PETG-CF, PA-CF/GF, PPA-CF/GF, PPS, and PPS-CF/GF.
Sensors: Smart print monitoring.
It includes a live-view camera (1920×1080), a toolhead camera (3264×2448 – Laser Edition only), and a door sensor. It supports filament runout detection, filament tangle detection, filament odometry, and power-loss recovery. It is compatible with the AMS system.
Electrical specifications: Flexible input and high power.
It operates at 200–240 VAC at 50/60 Hz. The maximum power is 2200 W, with an average power consumption of 1050 W.
User interface: Intuitive and connected.
It is equipped with a 5-inch touchscreen (720×1280), 8 GB of internal storage, a USB port, and a neural processing unit (2 TOPS). It can be controlled via the touchscreen, mobile app, or desktop application.
Software environment: Open and adaptable.
It supports Bambu Studio, Bambu Suite, and Bambu Handy. It is compatible with third-party software, such as SuperSlicer, PrusaSlicer, and Cura, that exports standard G-code, although advanced features may not be supported.
Connectivity: Wi-Fi with multi-band support.
It supports 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks, as well as the IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n standard. It operates in globally permitted bands depending on the region.
Laser system (optional): High-performance engraving and cutting.
The Laser Edition includes a 10 W ±1 W or 40 W ±2 W semiconductor laser. The wavelength for engraving is 455 nm (blue light), while height measurement uses 850 nm (infrared light). Laser spot size: 0.03 × 0.14 mm (10 W), 0.14 × 0.2 mm (40 W). Maximum engraving speed: 400 mm/s (10 W), 1000 mm/s (40 W). Maximum cutting thickness: 5 mm (10 W), 15 mm (40 W) – tested on basswood plywood.
