The Bambu Lab P2S Combo 3D printer offers revolutionary FDM 3D printing with a wide range of innovative features. Robust components, carbon fiber X and Y axis rails, hardened steel gears, a full-metal extruder, active filament drying and an integrated active carbon filtration system enable printing even with the most demanding materials, such as those reinforced with glass or carbon fibers.
Thanks to its force sensor, the printer can automatically compensate for build plate leveling and ensure perfect Z-height calibration. It is also equipped with a camera and an AI system that detect printing errors in real time.

The Bambu Lab P2S Combo represents a new generation of high-performance Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) 3D printers, designed to deliver professional-grade precision, reliability, and material versatility in a compact and robust form factor.
Structure and Build
The printer features a rigid composite chassis constructed from plastic and steel, complemented by a plastic and glass outer frame for enhanced stability and visual appeal. The build volume measures 256 × 256 × 256 mm, providing ample space for functional prototypes and production-grade parts.
With physical dimensions of 392 × 406 × 478 mm and a net weight of 14.9 kg, the P2S offers a compact footprint while maintaining industrial-level rigidity and precision.
Extrusion System
The P2S is equipped with a hardened steel extruder and drive gears, paired with a metal hotend capable of reaching 300 °C. It supports nozzle diameters from 0.2 mm to 0.8 mm (standard: 0.4 mm), enabling both fine-detail and high-flow printing.
A built-in filament cutter streamlines multi-material operation, and 1.75 mm filament compatibility ensures broad material support. The extrusion system utilizes a Bambu Lab high-precision permanent magnet synchronous motor with closed-loop control for optimal feeding accuracy and responsiveness.
Print Surface and Thermal System
The heatbed reaches up to 110 °C, ensuring excellent adhesion and warp-free results with engineering-grade materials.
The printer includes a flexible textured PEI build plate, compatible with textured PEI, smooth PEI, and Cool Plate SuperTack surfaces.
Rapid heating is supported by an intelligent power regulation system that momentarily increases output to 1200 W for fast thermal ramp-up.
Performance
The P2S Combo achieves an impressive maximum toolhead speed of 600 mm/s and acceleration up to 20,000 mm/s², with a maximum flow rate of 40 mm³/s using the standard-flow hotend (tested with Bambu Lab ABS at 280 °C).
This results in exceptional throughput without compromising dimensional accuracy or surface quality.
Filtration and Environmental Control
An active air purification system features a granulated coconut shell activated carbon filter, effectively removing VOCs and particulate matter from the printing environment. The closed-loop control of cooling systems — including the part cooling fan, hotend fan, and auxiliary cooling fan — ensures stable thermal performance even during extended print sessions.
Supported Materials
The P2S supports a wide range of standard and advanced thermoplastics, including:
PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, TPU, PET, PA, PC, PVA, PLA-CF, PETG-CF, ABS-GF, ASA-CF, PA6-CF, PA6-GF, PAHT-CF, PPA-CF, and PET-CF, as well as support materials compatible with PLA, PETG, and ABS.
Sensors and Intelligent Features
The printer integrates an array of smart monitoring systems:
· HD Camera (1920 × 1080 @ 30 fps) for real-time observation and AI-assisted print error detection
· Door sensor and filament runout, tangle, and odometry sensors
· Power loss recovery system, ensuring print continuity in case of interruption
· Full compatibility with the Automatic Material System (AMS) for multi-material printing
Electronics and Interface
A 5-inch capacitive touchscreen (854 × 480 resolution) provides intuitive control, complemented by mobile and PC applications for remote management.
The system includes 8 GB internal storage and supports data transfer via USB.
Processing power is driven by a dual-core Cortex-M4 and single-core Cortex-M7 motion controller, paired with a quad-core 1.5 GHz ARM A7 application processor and a 2 TOPS neural processing unit (NPU) for AI-assisted functions.
Connectivity
The P2S supports dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) for wireless communication, with compliance to FCC/CE/SRRC standards.
Ethernet connectivity is not available, but the design includes a removable Wi-Fi module and network kill switch for enhanced security.
Software and Compatibility
The printer operates with Bambu Studio, while maintaining compatibility with third-party slicers that export standard G-code (e.g., PrusaSlicer, SuperSlicer, Cura).
Supported operating systems include macOS, Windows, and Linux.
Electrical and Power Specifications
