The Bambu Lab X1 Carbon Combo 3D printer offers revolutionary FDM 3D printing with numerous innovative features. Its robust components, including carbon rails for the X and Y axes, hardened steel gears, a metal extruder that reaches temperatures up to 300°C, and a built-in activated carbon filtration system, enable printing with even the most demanding materials, such as those reinforced with glass or carbon fibers. Thanks to the force sensor, the printer can adjust for bed leveling and ensure precise Z-height and material flow calibration with the help of Bambu Lidar. It is also equipped with a camera that detects errors during printing.

The Bambu Lab X1 Carbon Combo printer employs Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) technology, providing a build volume of 256 × 256 × 256 mm. Constructed with a durable steel chassis and an aluminum and glass shell, it ensures robust structural stability.
The tool head features an all-metal hot end, with hardened steel gears and a hardened steel nozzle that withstands temperatures up to 300°C. The default nozzle diameter is 0.4 mm, with optional sizes of 0.2 mm, 0.6 mm, and 0.8 mm for versatile print resolution. It supports 1.75 mm filament diameter and includes a built-in filament cutter for efficient operation.
The heatbed supports multiple build plates, including the Bambu Cool Plate, High Temperature Plate, Textured PEI Plate, Smooth PEI Plate, and the Engineering Plate, reaching a maximum temperature of 110°C at 220 V or 120°C at 110 V.
Designed for high-speed performance, the tool head reaches speeds up to 500 mm/s and acceleration up to 20 m/s². It can deliver a maximum flow rate of 32 mm³/s at 280°C for ABS material. A closed-loop cooling system manages the part cooling fan, hot end fan, control board fan, chamber regulator fan, and auxiliary cooling fan, maintaining consistent thermal conditions.
Equipped with an activated carbon filter, the printer minimizes airborne emissions. It supports a variety of filaments, including PLA, PETG, TPU, ABS, ASA, PET, PA, PC, and is optimized for carbon/glass fiber-reinforced polymers.
For precision and reliability, the Bambu Lab X1 Carbon Combo includes sensors such as a Bambu Micro Lidar, high-resolution chamber camera (1920 × 1080), door sensor, filament run-out sensor, and filament odometry with the AMS. Power loss recovery is included for seamless operation.
With a physical footprint of 389 × 389 × 457 mm and a net weight of 18.13 kg, it operates on a voltage range of 100-240 VAC at 50/60 Hz, with maximum power at 1000 W for 220 V or 350 W at 110 V.
The 5-inch, 1280 × 720 touch screen enables easy interaction, with additional connectivity options via Wi-Fi and Bambu-Bus. Storage includes 4 GB of EMMC and a Micro SD card reader. The interface options-touch screen, app, or PC application-are controlled by a dual-core Cortex M4 motion controller and a quad-core ARM A7 application processor with a neural-network processing unit capable of 2 Tops.
The printer is compatible with Bambu Studio slicer software, supporting standard G-code exports from third-party slicers such as Superslicer, Prusaslicer, and Cura (some advanced features may not be available). Compatible with MacOS and Windows operating systems.
